A big “shout out” praise the Lord for the ministry of the Strength Team.  This last week we had the unique privilege of co-hosting an event with a group called the Strength Team Ministries.  The Strength Team consists of 21 men who are athletes with unique abilities to perform interesting feats of physical strength.  We had four members of their team last Wednesday through Sunday night at the local Agri-Civic Center.  We had crowds between 500 and 1,200 each night – although the weather was nasty most nights – cold and wet!  We registered more than 250 first time decisions to receive Christ as Lord of their lives!  Praise God!

These men broke bricks with their arms and their head – broke huge ice blocks – boards, which were on fire – bent iron bars, broke bats and other things.  They demonstrated their physical ability and strength and did a convincing job.  What made it so cool was that they gave God the glory and credit for their strength.  At every meeting they gave their testimonies and preached a short message to the people.  When the invitation times came it was very similar to what you’ve seen at Billy Graham crusades.  It is refreshing to see a fresh wind of the Spirit blow into and over the hearts and lives of hundreds of people.

Not only that, but we were able to do something that cannot happen in every county or city of America these days – we were able to get into local schools and do school assemblies.  They were careful to not present the gospel but share a talk geared toward encouraging the children and youth to success.  I was blessed to attend one of the school events and they presented the six “Ps” to success.  Here they are:

1. Prompt
2. Prepared
3. Polite
4. Participation
5. Positive attitude
6. Productive

Well, as you can see, these men did a great job of having fun and presenting the proper message to kids, as well as adults.
